NELASA WEEK 5 RECAP!



Week 5 kicked off with a bang Friday night at Ceylon Park where Curral Grande managed to come up with a 0-0 tie despite been outplayed by Nos Bandera. Curral Grande Goalkeeper Janito had a huge night with 8 safe to give his team the much needed 1 point.

Saturday in RI the struggling Tabanka came up short again vs Dinamo in a 1-0 loss. Dinamo’s goal was scored in the first half by Sandro and that was enough to seal the deal. Tabanka has loss 3 games in a row and only 4 points in 5 matches.

Also in RI Sporting continue to struggle their third loss at home in as much game, a 3-0 loss to Mindelo Association.

In Brockton Emigrantes managed a 1-0 win over last place Juventude to stay perfect thru 4 games goal scored by Djay.

Strela Negra loss their first of 2010 vs Fidjus Terra 3-0 goals by Pina, Manu and Narciso respectively.

Safira FC got their third win 2-1 victory in a tight game vs. Tarrafal two goals by medfielder Rodrigo, and Sousa scored for Tarrafal for his second of the season. Tarrafal has now loss three games in a row since winning the opperner vs. Sporting RI.

Boston FC trashed CafĂ© De Fogo 5-1 Mohamed Ahmed "Willy” scored a hat trick for his 5th goals in 2 games he is now second to his team mate Toti who also scored from the PK spot for his 6th goal. The two players combine for 11 of Boston FC 14 goals. Quis also added the 5th goals for Boston FC. Boston FC were down 1-0 after the first minute when Captain Joao Canuto scored the first goal of the match for Cafe D'Fogo, but Boston FC turn the game around with 5 unanswered goals. They now lead the league in goals scored with 14.

Alianca got to rest this week and will face Fidjus Terra in week 6.
