
In an effort to bring more fans to the game NELASA has introduced to us Friday Night Soccer. The young talented Strela Negra and fast pace Curral Grande will launch the 2010 NELASA season April 16, at 8 pm in Ceylon Park. Strela Negra has gone from a veteran team to a much younger team in just one year, they have loss the head coach and 10 of last years’ starting 11 players, and Curral Grande for the most part has kept their team together and added some key players like ex Emigrantes Deto and others.
Saturday the remaining teams will have their opener.
In Boston the defending Champs C. Tabanka will host a much improved Mindelo team 5:00 pm at Medison Park , Nos Bandera will take on Café de Fogo at home 4:30 Pm at Madison Park "feild #2" , Boston FC will host Juventude from Providence at Ceylon Park the game will start at 5:00pm.
In Brockton, Spiga Midju will host Emigrantes time TBD, Fidjos Terra will take on the newcomers Safira FC at Pic Park 5pm.
In RI there will be two games last year runners-up Sporting RI will host Tarrafal FC the game is schedule to start 4:00pm at at Marting Middle School and Dinamo will host Alianca CV 5:00pm at gallego Court.
The opening day will conclude in Brockton, with NELASA annual season opener party at Joe Angelo’s.
