Safira FC newest member of NELASA family



Safira FC was approved into NELASA Sunday March 21. When Raul Lopes Vice-President of General Assembly asked the clubs to vote every clubs present at the meeting voted to have Safira FC integrated into NELASA. Safira FC is an all Brazilian team. Club President said that the Safira FC has a lot of players that use to play professional soccer in Brazil, and that was one of the reason why he founded Safira FC so those player can have a club to play when they come here to US. Safira FC is a former Futsal champions and this is the first year they are going to play in soccer filed as a team.

Carlos Amado said that Angola whom used to be a part of NELASA also apporched the league, wanted to comeback, but as a league they felt that Safari has more to bring to the league at this momment then Angola. Safira members also said that they are working with a local Brazilian Channel "Rede BTN" (283 comcast sundays 11am-12pm) to see if they can show some of the league's game.
