NELASA UNVEILS NEW PLANS FOR THE NEW SEASON

For the first time ever NELASA has chosen an all against all format for the upcoming 2010 season. With new executive branch came new changes and add-ons to the league in witch all of the clubs vote on except Spiga midju and Mindelo whom was not present at the meeting.The most important change for the 2010 season was the fact the league has chosen to move from a playoff format to an all against all format witch is what most people close to NELASA thought was better for the league. In this new format all the teams will play each other twice home and away and at the end of the season the team with most points will be grown the Champion. There were also more add-ons, a “Friday Night Game” every week the league will pick a exciding game to be played, all of this is to give players, coaches and fans a chance to see not only there team but other teams in action and to bring more fans to the game. Also all the Cup games will be played on Wednesday this is an effort shorting the season witch is schedule to start April 17 and ends Nov. 20 witch is when the Supper –Cup match is schedule to be played.

The opening day will conclude with a celebration at Joe Angelos in Brockton where everyone will get a chance to meet the new 2010 NELASA personnel and enjoy and welcome the NEW and IMPROVE NELASA.

NELASA ALL STAR GAME is schedule to be played July 10, 2010. The league announced Friday that the All-Star game is going to be a little different form the past. Dido Fernades is in charge of putting a group of personnel that will travel form Brockton to Boston and R.I to watch ever mach till July and select not only the best player that Nelasa has to offer but the players that deserves an All-Star selection. The All-Star team will play one game July 10 against an USL (United Soccer League) team form Vermont “Vermont Voltage” whom already has agreed according to Bibi to participate in this event. Also Inter Ilhas is schedule for July 3rd and 4th in Boston.
